Batman And Wonder Woman An Item? May Get Together In `Man of Steel’ Sequel `Superman Vs. Batman’

Wonder Woman may join Batman in the upcoming 'Man of Steel' sequel "Superman Vs. Batman" in 2015. At Stan Lee's Comikaze Expo, Jaimie Alexander is rumored to be the frontrunner to play Wonder Woman.

Rumors are flying higher than superheroes at the Comikaze expo that Wonder Woman will get screen time in the follow-up to the Superman blockbuster "Man of Steel." "Batman vs. Superman" will be the first time the two superheroes will appear in the same movie. If that's not super enough, Wonder Woman is hovering in the wings.

Warner Bros. Pictures' president of creative development and worldwide production, Greg Silverman, talked about the speculation at the Entertainment and Tech Summit, saying "We have been doing a lot of thinking for years about how to best use all those characters. Wonder Woman is an amazing character. I think it's a great opportunity both for box office success, but also to have an amazingly powerful female superhero."

Warner Bros. hasn't confirmed whether Wonder Woman will appear in the movie, but there is already a guessing game as to who will Wonder Woman in Superman vs. Batman.

Jaimie Alexander, the star of "Thor: The Dark World" told a Comikaze panel discussion that both Marvel and Warner Bros. got in touch with her about doing a superhero movie.

Of course, that could only mean they want her for the Wonder Woman role opposite Superman and Batman, but no one's talking. Maybe they should put a Golden Lasso around the executives to get them to tell the truth.

Jaimie Alexander told Forbes magazine "I gotta say, Marvel really writes their women very well. And that's one of the biggest things for me, when I look at playing a character I want to make sure that I'm playing the character first and the physicality is second, and Marvel understands that. They've done a tremendous job, especially in our film, of portraying women as strong and confident. And a side note is that, you know what? They're pretty, they're beautiful, inside and out. And that's just a secondary. So they've really set the bar very high."

Jaimie Alexander said it would only work if the Wonder Woman character is fully developed. Saying "I really would like to one day see a Wonder Woman film or Wonder Woman character, but until it's done with class, I'd rather it not be done."

If Wonder Woman isn't in "Superman vs. Batman," she still might get on the big screen. Gossip says Joss Whedon is trying to put a Wonder Woman movie together.

Lynda Carter, who played Wonder Woman on TV from 1975 until 1979, suggested that Warner Bros assign a female screenwriter to write for Wonder Woman. Wonder Woman has not made a live action appearance on screen since "Wonder Woman" was cancelled in 1979.

George Miller's "Justice League" has been trying to bring Wonder Woman and the rest of the DC Comics big names to the big screen to work in parallel with the "Dark Knight" films. Another attempt to bring Wonder Woman back to the small screen under "Ally McBeal" creator David Kelly fell through

Fans want to see Wonder Woman on TV. So does Joss Whedon. CW tried, but it didn't work out.

Forgetting all about the seventies "Wonder Woman" series, Joss Whedon told Entertainment Weekly earlier this year "I don't think she lends herself to television. I think she only works on an epic scale. I saw a bit of the David E. Kelley [pilot]. That was not a good marriage."
