Motorola Droid Ultra Review: Specs Include 5-inch Super AMOLED Display, 10 MP ClearPixel Camera, 16GB Storage; A Decent Product For $99 Starting Price

Motorola Droid Ultra review: The Droid Ultra has a 5-inch size that’s definitely price competitively (on a contract with Verizon). This unit, which is exclusively available at Big Red has a white variant that just arrived recently. The $99 upfront payment for the Android-powered handset on Motorola’s X8 architecture is decent product.

Specs of this the Droid Ultra include a 5-inch 1280 x 720 Super AMOLED Display, Motorola X8 computing system which has a 1.7GHz dual-core application processor and quad-core graphics. It has a 10 megapixel RGBC ClearPixel camera with 1080P HD video recording and a 2 megapixel front-facing camera with 720p HD vide recording. The Motorola Droid Ultra has 16 GB of storage, 2 GB of RAM and 2,130 mAh battery. Its connectivity options include WiFi a/b/g/n/ac, Bluetooth 4.0, 4G LTE and NFC.

In a review by Brighthand, it noted that overall, Motorola Droid Ultra is a good phone. In terms of performance, its fast, stable and has excellent software with great features. The Droid Ultra’s design, however, maybe a note for caution. It has a glossy build and to remedy the smudge fingerprint magnetism that it has will require a case, which will hide its excellent shape.

Brighthand noted that it may not be a match up to the highly popular iPhone 5S and Samsung Galaxy S4, but it still looks great. The camera specs of the device is still deemed high-end. It’s still functional as a point-and-shoot camera and will still satisfy most users needs.

For it’s price, the Motorola Droid Ultra is a competitive option, but the presence of newer handsets with better specs and greater features makes it difficult for the device to stand out.
