K-Pop Idols Show Support For The World Cup

The 2014 FIFA World Cup is taking place in Brazil right now, and many K-Pop idols are cheering on their favorite teams.

Several idols have supported various teams on social media accounts, while others have live-tweeted soccer matches that they've been watching. Other idols have created songs promoting the games, while some have dressed up as Red Devils, the nickname for Korean soccer team fans.

As the Korean soccer game began, idols were seen watching the game amongst the crowd in the outdoor arena. Tweets supporting the Korean soccer team were made throughout the match as well.

Super Junior's Kangin posted a picture on Instagram right as the Korea versus Russia match began, saying "Korea fighting a lot I will watch my Hyungs Bae Sung Jae and Hae Sol Lo Let's cheer together."

Girl group Wa$up made headlines for being the first idol group to twerk, and now they're gaining attention for their sexy, adorable music video made to cheer on the World Cup. The video for "Fire" not only shows support for South Korea's soccer team, but also promotes Brazil, the host country for this year's World Cup.

The song has Latin influences, and shows the girls wearing hot pants and crop tops that imitate soccer uniforms.

Bang Young Guk of B.A.P posted a picture on Instagram of himself watching the World Cup games with friends, Daction and Soul Snatch. The black and white picture isn't as vibrant as the red Korean Devils, but Bang Young Guk's enthusiasm is very clear from the picture.

Hyeri of Girl's Day also posted a picture of herself on Instagram, dressed as a Red Devil. She was doing a fist bump and pouting while wearing red devil horns and a red Korean team jersey. She posted a message about supporting the Korean soccer team, and ended it off with "fighting!"

One of the most avid fans of the World Cup has been the solo singer Younha, who has live tweeted several games, expressing her frustration throughout each match. She has also, comically, commented on the handsomeness of the Korean players.
