JYJ Member Update: No Performances For The Incheon Asian Games + Asia Tour Kicks Off In August

According to reports, JYJ has been removed from the list of performers for both the opening and closing ceremonies for the upcoming Incheon Asian Games. When this news came out, JYJ fans demanded that they at least perform and get fair treatment since they are honorary ambassadors for IAG.

While the group has been snubbed from the Incheon Asian Games, they have recently announced that they will hold an Asian tour this summer for the month of August. Jaejoong, Yoochun, and Junsu will first initiate their tour in South Korea on August 9th. The other two countries they will travel to are Shanghai and Hong Kong.

C-JeS explained, "JYJ plans to meet 40,000 fans at the Jamsil Stadium in Seoul on August 9. This will be their first concert in four years since their concert in November 2010, which brought in a total of 70,000 fans over two nights."

JYJ said, "We are thrilled at the thought of meeting fans through JYJ's album and concert for the first time in a long time. We are joyful and happy just from recording music with our members." They further explained, "We will repay our fans' love with a feel-good album and concert."

On July 2nd, JYJ showed their amazing ticket selling popularity because the tickets for their concert in South Korea were sold out in just twenty minutes. C-JeS Entertainment said, "JYJ's concert 'The Return of the King' at Jamsil Stadium is recorded to have sold out all 20,000 seats within twenty minutes of the first round of ticket sales on Inter Park at 8 PM (July 2nd KST). The flood of people accessing the site caused it to overload, causing the biggest ticketing chaos and once confirmed JYJ's hot popularity", according to Allkpop.

One ticketing representative stated, "There was no end to the inquiries made by fans who wanted to see all of JYJ on stage; the response to the ticketing today was hotter than ever before. Once again, I was able to experience JYJ's popularity."

On July 8th, another batch of tickets were sold on that day for JYJ's upcoming concert.
