Girl Group SECRET Releases Japanese Version Of 'Yoohoo' MV

In lieu of their comeback in August, SECRET released a Japanese version of their hit song "Yoohoo."

The Japanese version of the music video for "Yoohoo," which was released yesterday, shows the girls of SECRET enjoying their time at a luxurious hotel. The concept is highly different from the original Korean MV, which shows the girls getting shipwrecked.

SECRET made headlines recently when it was revealed that they would be straying from their usual composing team, which consists of Kang Ji Won and Kim Ki Bum, according to Allkpop.

The idol girl group has reportedly chosen to work with producing team Duble Sidekick instead for the title track of their 5th mini-album, according to music insiders.

Although SECRET member Hyosung worked with Duble Sidekick for her solo song, "Good-night Kiss," this will be the first time the group will be collaborating with K-pop's favorite producing team.

SECRET has been in the Korean music industry for quite a while now, debuting back in 2009. The group consists of members Hyosung, Hana, Jieun and Sunhwa.

Since their debut, SECRET has been nominated for 29 awards and has gone on to win 16 awards at Korea's major award ceremonies.

SECRET was also the third Korean girl group to debut in the top ten on the Oricon charts. The girls have gone back and forth from Korea and Japan, dominating music charts in each country.

Each of the members have focused on their individual careers outside of SECRET as well, with all of them receiving film or TV credit since their debut.

Although SECRET is known for their feminine, girl-group qualities, the band admitted to MSN Entertainment XIN that they compare themselves to male K-pop groups.

"Although we're a girl band, we compare ourselves to male groups like SHINee, B.A.P, Infinite and Teen Top, because of our strong, powerful performances," stated leader Hyosung in 2013.
