'The Evil Within' Release Date Moved Up: Bethesda Announces 'Resident Evil' Creator Shinji Mikami Has Finished Development Early [PHOTO]

Bethesda has announced that they are moving up "The Evil Within" release date by a week.

The multiplatform horror game from developer Tango Gameworks, will now arrive Oct. 14 in North America, just in time for Holloween. 

According to an update from Bethesda, The game will come to Australia on Oct. 16 and throughout Europe on Oct. 18.  

Earlier this year, Bethesda pushed "The Evil Within" back from its original August release date and announced a release date of Oct. 21. Today, Bethesda's Pete Hines said the game will be ready ahead of schedule.

"Shinji [Mikami] asked us for a little extra time with the game, but we're really happy with it. It's ready a week early, so we're releasing it a week early."

The Evil Within - the latest game from "Resident Evil" creator Shinji Mikami - has been no stranger to a release date change during development. However, unlike the previous change, which was a sizeable delay, this time the release date is moving forward. 

Pre-orders of "The Evil Within" come with the Fighting Chance Pack, which includes Medical Kit - A vital health enhancement to enable Sebastian to fight on, Green Gel - Used to upgrade Sebastian's attributes, Double Barrel Shotgun and Three Shells - a larger and more formidable shotgun than the regular shotgun, it's useful for tight situations with multiple encroaching enemies, an Incendiary Agony Bolt - Capable of showering nearby enemies with damaging fire sparks, and a Poison Agony Bolt - Will draw enemies towards it and poison them, allowing Sebastian time for a quick escape.

You'll be able to buy "The Evil Within" will be availabe on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 3, Xbox One, Xbox 360, or PC when on its release date of October 14.
