The Witcher 3 will be featured in the San Diego Comic Con 2014 line-up and schedule, leaving many gamers wondering if information about the game's release date and trailer gameplay will be discussed in a panel.

The game's official release date has been scheduled for February 24, 2015.

Game Director Konrad Tomaszkiewicz recently revealed why the game experienced a release date delay.

"For us the most important thing was to tell our story. everything begins with story," he said, according to Gamerant.

"Geralt - our main protagonist - defined a lot of aspects of the game, because he is unchangeable, he's defined. We're happy, because it's the same way that Batman is defined; you can expect how he would behave in most situations. So we started with that, and then we knew we had to tell a very cool story... but the open world was a missing element."

Comic Con is scheduled from July 24 through July 27 at the San Diego Convention Center.
