Halo 5: Guardians will be featured in the San Diego Comic Con 2014 line-up and schedule, leaving many gamers wondering if information about the game's release date and trailer gameplay will be discussed in a panel.

The game's official release date has been scheduled for December 31, 2014, according to the Microsoft Store.

"I'm happy to reveal that Halo 5: Guardians, the next installment in the legendary saga of the Master Chief, will launch on Xbox One in fall of 2015. In the tradition of every 'Halo' game since its debut in 2001, it is a massive and exciting project," Bonnie Ross, General Manager of 343 Industries, wrote, according to the Ecumenical News.

Comic Con is scheduled from July 24 through July 27 at the San Diego Convention Center.
