Wentworth Miller Gay Confession Made His Life Better; ‘Prison Break’ Star Joins CW’s ‘The Flash’ As DC Villain Captain Cold

Wentworth Miller gay confession might have been a surprise but for the 42-year-old, it was a decision which changed his life for the better. In an interview with Details magazine, he says that he now feels "more fully expressed."

"After Prison Break, I came to grips with the fact that my public persona was in misalignment with how I actually felt. I was out to a handful of people in my twenties, and once I hit 30, I was out to family and friends. But professionally, I was feeding a fantasy. I created this air of 'We don't address that thing,'" he explained regarding the publicized Wentworth Miller gay confession.

He says that fans probably know at "a certain degree" that he was gay: "The people onscreen aren't the characters they're playing."

Miller says that it is still possible to find one's self attracted to a gay person: "Attraction is fluid, and I think our imaginations are strong enough to hold a container for all of this complexity, even if we know on a subconscious level something's not what it appears to be."

Wentworth Miller's gat confession came in a form of letter when he declined to be the guest of honor at the St. Petersburg International Film Festival.

"Thank you for your kind invitation. As someone who has enjoyed visiting Russia in the past and can also claim a degree of Russian ancestry, it would make me happy to say yes. However, as a gay man, I must decline," part of his letter read.

He explains that the reason for his refusal is Russian government's treatment of gay men and women.

Meanwhile, it was confirmed that Wentworth Miller would join CW's 'The Flash' as Snart or Captain Cold. He will be appearing in the fourth episode of 'The Flash' season 1. Miller will be having a big role for Snart is famed for being one of Flash's greatest enemies.
