Selena Gomez Gaza Instagram Sparks Controversy; Come and Get It Singer Says `It’s About Humanity’

Selena Gomez's Gaza Instagram post has triggered an international debate among her fans. Rihanna had also weighed in on the Gaza dispute, but after backlash, she deleted her post. Not Selena. Gomez says it's about humanity, not Hamas.

Selena Gomez took to Instagram to post a "Pray for Gaza" message, but her half of her fan base is outraged.

The former Disney star took to social media on Friday to plea for sympathy in the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Selena's message "It's About Humanity. Pray for Gaza."

"Please pray for those families and babies today. Please always remember what's important in life. It's not any of this. We are here to help, inspire and love. Be that change. #wearethenextgeneration," the caption read.

As soon as Selena Gomez posted the message, comments flooded it. So far, Gomez's post topped 525,000 likes. But there are many who didn't, some fans vowed to unfollow the pop singer in protest, while others rushed to her defense.
