Penguins Of Madagascar Movie 2014 Release Date: Spin off Movie Coming To 2014 Comic Con With Benedict Cumberbatch As The CIA Wolf ‘Classified’

The Penguins of Madagascar movie release date has been changed and set on an earlier date. DreamWorks Animation decided to switch two of its major movie releases - "Home" and "Penguins of Madagascar."

The spin-off to the hit film "Madagascar" will now be released on Nov. 26, 2014 which, was originally intended for "Home," while the latter will now be released on March 27, 2015.

On that note, DreamWorks Animation has filed a slot in the upcoming San Diego Comic Con 2014 where "Sherlock" star Benedict Cumberbatch will be making his first appearance on the highly anticipated event.

Joining Cumberbatch are his co-stars John Malkovich and Tom McGrath with directors Simon J. Smith and Eric Darnell.

DreamWorks Animation chief marketing officer Dawn Taubin released a statement explaining the shuffle:

"We will continue to be as flexible as necessary when it comes to our release dates

"We're confident that this date switch gives both of our upcoming releases the largest opportunity for success," Taubid added.

The Penguins Of Madagascar is a spin-off movie of the Madagascar film franchise. The film will feature the life of the penguins Skipper, Kowalski, Rico and Private in their own spy thriller adventure with a twist of comedy.

DreamWorks Animation has tapped into award winning actors like Benedict Cumberbatch (Sherlock) and John Malkovich (Transformers: Dark of the Moon) to lend their voice to the new characters in the Madagascar spinoff movie. According to the report of The Wrap, Cumberbatch will be lending his voice to high-ranking CIA animal agent trailing Malkovich, who'll play the charming villain.

The Penguins of Madagascar cast Benedict Cumberbatch's voice is in high demand these days, he's been heard as the voice of both Smaug the Dragon and the Necromancer in Peter Jackson's "Hobbit" sequels. He's also been tapped to play as Julian Assange in "The Fifth Estate," as well as "12 Years a Slave" and "August: Osage County."

Malkovich on the other hand, previously voiced a role in Robert Zemeckis' "Beowulf." He can currently be seen in "Red 2." He recently produced "The Perks of Being a Wallflower" and Diego Luna's "Chavez," which stars Michael Pena as the famed labor leader.

The 3D animated movie, which features the witty penguins, is scheduled for release on November 26, 2014. Cumberbatch and Malkovich will be joined by Tom McGrath, Chris Miller, John DiMaggio, Christopher Knights.

Creators of the original Madagascar franchise are reuniting for the film. Directors Simon J. Smith (Bee Movie) and Eric Darnell (Antz) will helm the film which, was penned by Michael Colton and John Aboud. Lara Breay (Megamind) is producing, while executive producers include Mireille Soria, Tom McGrath and Darnell.

"The Penguins of Madagascar" is a comic book written by David Server and Jackson Lanzing, which is now a successful Nickelodeon TV show.

DreamWorks Animation's The Penguins of Madagascar movie new release date is set on November 26, 2014.
