"Castle" season 7 spoilers hinted about the car crash becoming the pivotal point in the series premiere while other characters will also be given their chance to shine in the spotlight, the showrunners revealed.

Andrew Marlowe revealed "Castle" season 7 spoilers when he explained to TVLine the rationale behind the car crash.

"We did what we did for a reason - to open up some new mythology [and] to open up some really interesting aspects of storytelling for the Castle character, who hasn't been as deeply explored as Beckett over the past six years," he said.

New series showrunner David Amman will write the opener for the seventh season and Rob Bowman will helm the episode. Rob Bowman directed the episodes "Time Will Tell" and "In the Belly of the Beast," which have become fan favorites.

Meanwhile, Michael Auseillo dished out "Castle" season 7 spoiles on TVLine when he wrote that Ryan Sands-who played Officer Lloyd Garrick on "The Wire," is being cast to guest-star in the premiere.

"He'll play Tagger, a Hamptons police sergeant who helps Beckett investigate the most difficult case of her career (presumably, Who the hell ran Rick off the road?)," Ausiello wrote.

The Cartermatt website also dished out "Castle" season 7 spoilers when it revealed that "within this coming week much of the cast and crew will be back at it, working to ensure that new episodes are being made for the fall."

Although the website said that it heard July 16 as the official start date, "but we've learned throughout the past few years that it's better to be a little flexible."

Nathan Fillion also revealed what he wants for the very last episode of the hit TV show.

On June 10, in reply to a user's question of what he likes to see happen in the last ever episode of Castle, the actor wrote on his Twitter: "Castle dies, Derrick Storm style."

Derrick Storm is the fictional character created by a fictional character that is Richard Castle. According to the story, Derrick Storm died in Clara Strike's arms in the novel "Storm Fall."
