A flurry of recent events has made some EXO fans think that Kris may be rejoining the idol group.

On July 21, EXO's fans started trending #KrisExo on Twitter, and started a discussion on the social media site leading other fans to believe that Kris may be returning to twelve. Kris withdrew the group earlier this year, and filed a suit against SM Entertainment. The hashtag trended on Twitter for about a hour, with fans throwing out ideas explaining.

The hashtag began with an Instagram picture by the designer Marcelo Burlon. He posted two pictures on Instagram, one of him with Kris and then one of Kris alone. The first picture, with the two of them together, had the caption, "@galaxy_fanfan [Kris' Instagram account] visiting County GQ #KrisExo #CountyOfMilan."

The fact that he added #KrisExo to the picture led fans to immediately get excited, since Kris is not an active member of EXO and most people assume that he has no desire to return to the group whatsoever.

However, because Kris was aware that Marcelo Burlon posted the picture on Instagram, fans saw meaning in the fact that there was still a connection to EXO. Fans on Twitter implied that this meant Kris would be returning to EXO.

Fans on Twitter took the whole thing one step further when they began to put several small details together. Along with the hashtag, apparently a picture of Kris' face appeared at EXO's recent The Lost Planet concert in Chongqing, China. Sehun also was reported to removing OT11 from his Instagram biography, giving fans even more hope.

The fact that Kris is active individually in China, and that no SM artist has ever returned to a group after leaving the rest of the members, makes it unlikely that Kris will rejoin EXO. However, fans are still hopeful.
