"The Flash" TV series spoilers have revealed that "Prison Break" star Wentworth Miller is added to the cast to play the villain Captain Cold, as producers of the show is trying to portray cast Gustin Grant's Barry Allen as an everyday man.

The TVLine revealed "The Flash" TV series spoilers when it reported of Wentworth Miller being tapped to play Leonard Snart, aka Captain Cold, who is the leader of the rogues and one of the favorite comic fan villains of the speedster.

The announcement of Wentworth Miller joining the cast was made on Friday during the Television Critics Association press tour.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg also dished out "The Flash" TV spoilers to E! News when he said that they decided to do a spinoff of "The Arrow" with the idea of not doing the same show twice.

"We weren't looking for the same kind of hero that Stephen [Amell] portrays. We wanted someone more normal, who had greatness thrust upon them," he said.

He said that cast Grant Gustin is perfect for the role because he's "more normal" and " just somebody you would fall in love with.

"Grant was literally the first person to read for Barry. After that it was sort of over," he said.

Earlier, a featurette revealed a new character in Eddie Thawne (Rick Gosnett), also known as "Detective Pretty Boy," who is an overly confident police officer who obviously gets his nickname because of his looks.

Candice Patton (Iris West), according to the CW network's "The Flash" TV series spoilers, Eddie Thawne is "a little full of himself, a little overconfident about his abilities."

"I mean, he probably can back it up, but I think it rubs people the wrong way, and I think it even rubbed Iris the wrong way when she first met him," she added. "But usually those are the guys you kind of fall for."

However, ComicBook noted that Eddie Thawne won't just be Barry Allen's rival for Iris' affection. The website revealed "The Flash" TV series spoilers when it said that Detective Pretty Boy is actually the Reverse-Flash or Professor Zoom in the comics.
