The "Ant-Man" movie has been pushed into different levels of uncertainty, and the rumors and denials are making it blurry. Evangeline Lilly has been linked to Ant-Man since February despite a lack of confirmation from the actress. Now, she sets the rumors straight-or does she?

Movieweb asked the actress to confirm if she will play the undetermined female role in "Ant-Man:"

"No, I can't. I don't know anything about those rumors."

Lilly is attending San Diego Comic Con for "The Hobbit" as well as her children's book. It was rumored that she keeps on denying her involvement because Marvel has a plan to have an explosive casting presentation. Is there another reason for her presence in Comic Con?

"I'm an actress, but I'm not stupid. I can't answer that question."

The topic of Edgar Wright's departure was raised, in a hypothetical question:

"Well I read the news and have followed the storylines of what's been going on with Ant-Man. And I think that it's always a tragedy when somebody works for six years on a passion project and then for, you know, whatever reason ends up distancing themselves from the project. But I think that ultimately when there's a massive collaboration happening with artistic people or anything that isn't film work is really a piece of art at the end of the day. That everybody wants to serve the story. Everybody wants to serve the art. And whatever it takes to make the best film is what needs to happen. So, I mean, I can think as somebody in the industry who's watched the headlines and sort of kept abreast of the news that it is a tragedy. But hopefully it's a tragedy that will serve the story."

It sounds a little too much for someone who's not involved in the film. Now there are more questions about Lilly's casting. Will she end up at the panel anyway? Was she actually cast but she quit when Edgar Wright left?
