Rachel McAdams Was ‘In Awe’ Of Lindsay Lohan! Star Of ‘Mean Girls’ and ‘The Notebook’ Movies Says Actress Was ‘So Natural’, Talks About Philip Seymour Hoffman In New Interview

Rachel McAdams has told Allure magazine in their August 2014 issue that she was awestruck by Lindsay Lohan!

It seems the 35-year-old star, who famously portrayed the "Plastics" clique leader in "Mean Girls", was taken aback by the talent and presence of her younger co-star. Lindsay Lohan took on the iconic role of the new girl at her high school, who had recently moved back to the US with her parents from Africa.

"If anything, I was in awe of her talent," said McAdams in the interview, quoted in Us Weekly. "I looked at her as this experienced actor and she had great comedic timing, so natural."

Rumors had floated around back around the time of shooting "Mean Girls" that Lindsay Lohan was in fact intimidated by her co-star, and Rachel addressed this in her interview.

"It's just funny to hear that because you never know what people are thinking. We all try to act like we've got it together," said McAdams.

The star of the "Mean Girls" and "The Notebook" movies also discussed her most recent project - "A Most Wanted Man", which she starred in opposite the late Philip Seymour Hoffman.

Rachel McAdams said she learned a great deal from the actor, who passed away in February.

"He really takes you under -- he really took me under his wing. You feel very taken care of, but at the same time there's an element of danger: There's a crackle in every scene. He makes sure the stakes are very high, and there's a safety there, too. He had so much natural, raw talent, but he worked so hard, too. He really worked for it and didn't let up. I'm sure that wasn't easy."

"A Most Wanted Man" is a British espionage-thriller flick based on John le Carré's novel, and will reach US movie theatres on July 25.
