"NCIS" season 12 spoilers reveal that Tony DiNozzo might finally move on from Ziva David as former cast Cote de Pablo gets a new mini-series.

Matt Webb Mitovich wrote "NCIS" season 12 spoilers for TVLine citing showrunner Gary Glasberg who said that a plan to create a new love interest for Tony DiNozzo is in the "formative stages."

"It's time for Tony to continue to grow a little bit. He went through a lot last year emotionally and tried to deal with Ziva's departure as he could. And it's time for someone new. We'll be mature about it and handle it properly, and Michael's (Weatherly) excited about it," he said.

Meanwhile, Gary Glasberg said during the Television Critics Association summer press tour that they are happy that Cote de Pablo was added to the cast of the "Dovekeepers," a story of four women in ancient Israel "whose lives intersect at the siege of Masada," TVLine said.

 "We've been saying it all along - we're thrilled that this Dovekeepers project has come up for her," he said, adding that the story "is unique and different."

 "I'm really pleased for her. It's a great thing," the showrunner said, adding that she didn't leave on a sour note. "There's no bad blood. I promise you there's no bad blood."

Gary Galsberg has repeatedly claimed that they are not opposed to getting Cote de Pablo back on the show as long as it is organic to the story arc.

 "A lot of people have approached me about the idea of not shutting the door entirely on [their staying in touch], and I'm not opposed to it," he said aboout the possible "NCIS" season 12 spoilers. "It has to be done in a way where it feels organic to the storytelling and we're not just throwing in lines about Ziva here and there.

Earlier, Breathecast dished out "NCIS" season 12 spoilers when it reported that the contracts for Mark Harmon (Agent Gibbs), Michael Weatherly (Anthony DiNozzo), David McCallum (Dr. Donald Mallard), Brian Dietzen (Jimmy Palmer), Pauley Perrette (Abby Sciuto), Rocky Carroll (Leon Vance) and Sean Murray (Timothy McGee) were all extended by the network.
