Uh, oh, 5 Seconds of Summer groupies. The dorky 5SOS drummer Ashton Irwin may be taken! But not by Gemma Styles. He wrote on Twitter that he has fallen “in love” with someone. Has he gotten a new girlfriend while promoting 5 Seconds of Summer’s new album? That won’t be a surprise as the band has been engaging with a lot of groupies, especially during their Target run dressed as employees.

Anyway, on to more important topic. Ashton Irwin, the totally lovable and dorky drummer, may have found a new girlfriend and left Gemma Styles in tears. Okay, his dating rumor with Harry Style’s older sis Gemma was just a rumor, but it looks like Ashton Irwin has his heart set on someone else!

He wrote on Twitter about his love feelings:

Some lyric research ideas? We don’t think so. It seems a little too direct and forthright to be some words to a new song. Ashton Irwin may have a case of new girlfriend on his hands!

‘She Looks So Perfect’ drummer has been feeling the love for a while. Ashton has always been a big advocate of love and not hate. He once wrote on Twitter:

“Me and the lads in my band love each other & are brothers... You guys should love each other too & not hate on each other, it's bullshit”.

Good thing that Luke, Ashton, Michael and Calum love each other so much because they’ve been spending a lot of time together on the tours. Check out their video of hitting up Target to promote their new album:

Ashton admitted earlier this week to MTV UK that he would totally date a fan, which bolsters the speculations about his new girlfriend being a 5 Seconds of Summer groupie. He said that “It wouldn't be weird at all. [Fans]'re normal people… It's a bonus if your girlfriend likes your music, definitely not a downfall.

“It would be a bit awkward to be with a girlfriend who didn't love what you do.”

He also added, “I'm a big fan of rocky girls. I love Hayley Williams and the lead singer from Tonight Alive. She's really cool.”

Well, hands off on Hayley Williams. She has a boyfriend of six years!
