At the recently concluded Comic Con, the five-minute 'Family Guy Simpsons' crossover episode trailer has been revealed. Since the episode will be a combination of television's popular comedies, the trailer expectedly portrays a series of jokes.

The 'Family Guy Simpsons' crossover episode trailer begins with the Griffin family arriving at Springfield. The family appears to have mixed opinions about the place. Peter even warns Stewie to not drink water from the place because "everyone around here looks like they have hepatitis." Lois, on the other hand, finds the place nice.

Peter and Homer manage to bond over a box of doughnuts which Homer presented. However, the two iconic fathers later got into a fight because of their favorite brands of beer.

Meanwhile, Bart shows Stewie how to make a prank call. Wanting to impress Bart, Stewie then makes a call to Moe's tavern and tells him that his sister has "just been raped."

While some fans are excited for the 'Family Guy Simpsons' crossover episode, Brian appears to not fancy the idea. At some point, he tells Lois: "I don't know Lois, this looks like a one-shot deal."

Speculations have risen that the creative team of 'The Simpsons' pushed the crossover episode in an attempt to boost its ratings which dropped to an all-time low this year.

Aside from the crossover episode, fans will have to brace themselves as well for a death of one beloved Simpsons character as confirmed by show runner Al Jean. The death will be taking place on September 28 in an episode titled "Clown in the Dumps."

While Krusty the Clown is rumored to be the character which will die, a clip released at the Comic Con also pointed out the possibility of Homer dying because of his illness. Nonetheless, Jean previously said that the character won an Emmy award but not necessarily "iconic."
