Shailene Woodley and Theo James' relationship on-screen might have made fans swoon but the tandem will be tested in 'Insurgent,' the highly-anticipated sequel of 'Divergent.'

At the recently concluded Comic Con event in San Diego, Shailene Woodley and Theo James revealed several spoilers for the film. In 'Insurgent,' the factions are on the verge of breaking up because of conflicts in ideologies.

James teased that Tris and Four would fight oftentimes in the second film: "In the book, Tris and Four are arguing quite a lot for various reasons, so we sat down with Robert [Schwentke] to figure out the crux of what's behind the problem and we discovered the problem was one of trust and not being able to share with each other in this crazy, f***** up world."

"Playing with that theme, we bring it into every element of each scene, and see how that progresses and damages their relationship. It's physically impossible to honor every single tiny beat and Veronica [Roth, author] would say that as well," he added.

He likewise described the upcoming film to be "full of heart and action." The 29-year-old actor takes pride with the film's varying themes: "It's so much bigger and has all these rich themes of trust and betrayal and a love story between two people that you haven't seen in films of this nature before!"

Meanwhile, Woodley will be sporting a pixie cut for the film. 'The Fault in Our Stars' actress opted to chop her locks for she did not want to wear wigs.

"I think wigs always look wiggy, especially in an action movie. We're running so much and doing so much, I think, technically, a wig would have looked quite sh****," she told Buzzfeed.

The 23-year-old adds that it will be "cool" for a heroine to have short hair. It won't be the first time for Woodley to sport such hairstyle for she similarly did it with 'The Fault in Our Stars' when she played the role of cancer-stricken Hazel.

'Insurgent' is scheduled for release on March 20, 2015.
