Facebook Was Down Today, Now Up And Running! Is Youtube Having Problems? Social Networking Site Experiences International Outages

Facebook, the place where time goes to die, was down, but now is up and running. For better or for worse. The social networking site experienced international outages. If you were one of the people that were getting the jitters for not being able to stalk a friend from high school that suddenly got really hot, you can hit enter on the top visited sites on your Internet browser and go back to your endless scrolling.

Check out the screenshot of Facebook when it was down:

Of course, the Internet flipped out. Writers at Huffington Post wrote an article with a headline, “Facebook Is Down… But For What?”. According to ABC, the Facebook engineers were “working on getting this fixed as soon as we can”. They "detected the issue quickly" and are "working to resolve it ASAP," according to the Facebook developer’s portal. Seeing how the website was up and running in a matter of minutes, it looks like nothing vicious was behind the crash. Let’s hope that Mark Zuckerberg doesn’t fire any poor engineers for the momentary website crash. It’s hard to pay for rent in San Francisco. But now, it looks like Youtube is having some issues, although this does not seem to be an international outage. For some users in the U.S., the url leads to a “Your connection was reset” page.

The fact that two of these websites are having problems today may be a coincidence, but it is possible that there are bigger and more vicious things at work. What that may be, it’s hard to tell right away.
