'Girls' Season 4 Spoilers: ‘Her’ Director Spike Jonze Will Make Cameo, Zosia Mamet And Allison Williams Reveal New Details Before HBO Comedy Premiere Date In 2015 [WATCH]

Spike Jonze, director of highly acclaimed ‘Her’, will cameo in ‘Girls’ season 4. Spike Jonze joins already star-studded cast of ‘Girls’, which now includes Zachary Quinto, Natasha Lyonne of ‘Orange is the New Black’ and Jason Ritter. As Lena Dunham’s HBO comedy gears up for 2015 premiere date, the two main actresses, Zosia Mamet and Allison, couldn’t hold back spoilers for ‘Girls’ season 4.

It seems like every famous TV, theater and film personality in New York City has appeared on ‘Girls’ at one point or another. So it was only a matter of time that Spike Jonze, 44, of ‘Her’ and ‘Where the Wild Things are’ fame joined the cast. He will play a character called Marcos, though not much else revealed about this potentially Italian and definitely hipster sounding character.

Besides Spike Jonze, lots of other people are set to appear in ‘Girl’ season 4. ‘Star Trek’ actor Zachary Quinto, who just closed ‘Glass Menagerie’ on Broadway, will appear in an episode. Natasha Lyonne will guest star and Gillian Jacobs, Jason Ritter and Judd Apatow’s daughter Maude Apatow, will appear in one of the HBO comedy’s episodes.

As the season 4 premiere date draws close, Zosia Mamet and Allison Williams revealed a few spoilers for the upcoming season for ‘Girls’ to New York Post. Zosia Mamet said “More insanity, more testing the waters and trying things out” are in store in 2015. “We’re all growing and shifting and changing like people do in their 20s,” she concluded.

Allison Williams, who has recently accepted the titular role of NBC’s ‘Peter Pan’, said that ‘Girls’ season 4 “ picks up where we leave her last season in a way that nothing’s vastly different, let’s put it that way”.
