In fact, in Europe, Spotify has been the prime music provider. The app provides an unparalleled music streaming service that has most Europeans subscribing and staying tuned in for new playlists every day.

Spotify also has recently added a web player for those who want to enjoy thousands of its music without on any device without the hassle of installing the actual app. This especially comes in handy for desktop or corporate machine users.

With a clear and simple layout, Spotify's web player is designed to look both like a desktop and mobile app. TechRadar even commended the music service provider, saying that it is a "much more feature-rich and mature service than Google Play, and the web app reflects this."

However, Google Play has a bit of an edge because of its HTML5 streaming feature which allows its users to play music without stuttering. This means that your music can lag or stop depending on the browser you use. Still, you can access the Your Music section for a speedier music selection.

Unlike the mobile app which features a premium version, the web player's functionality is limited. Users have fewer options on how to manage playlists. So if you're after optimum customization, then look for another music service provider.

Another hinder is not being able to sync music for offline playing. Unlike in the Deezer web player, you can only play music online.
