Novak Djokovic Distracted by Marriage To Jelena Ristic And Tanks Out At Rogers Cup 2014? Jo-Wilfried Tsonga Dominates Wimbledon Champion In Toronto

Novak Djokovic crashed out of Rogers Cup 2014 in Toronto after potentially being distracted by pure happiness. A man can to be too happy, it turns out. Was the Wimbledon champion distracted by his marriage to Jelena Ristic? Jo-Wilfried Tsonga took this chance to absolutely demolish world number one Novak Djokovic.

Novak Djokovic failed to make it to the quarterfinals of Rogers Cup 2014 in Toronto after getting thrashed by Jo-Wilfried Tsonga in an easy two setter 2-6, 2-6.

"For me today it was great," Tsonga told ATP. "I played a good match. Soon in the match I was in good condition. I served pretty well, I was pretty aggressive.

"I'm working hard every day. It's not every day you get the rewards of what you're doing every day during the year. You leave your family, practise hard, suffer a lot on the court. And when you win a match like this, you just feel good."

Yeah, especially when you beat the reigning Wimbledon Champion who also happens to be the world’s best player!

Novak Djokovic may not have been in the right mindset to win Rogers Cup 2014 in Toronto. After winning the game of his life against Roger Federer at Wimbledon finals in June, he married his high school sweetheart Jelena Ristic in a grandiose wedding. Talk about distraction leading up to the Rogers Cup!

But the Serbian player also had bad luck going for him as well. His draw for the tournament included a lot of the top players earlier in the tournament, which meant that the Wimbledon champion would have had to work extra hard to get to the finals.

It looks like it didn’t take much to take down Novak Djokovic. Jo-Wilfried Tsonga’s 2-6, 2-6 win over the world number one is a little embarrassing for the Serb.

Novak Djokovic looked great at the post-match press conference though. He kept his smile on. A married man is a happy man!
