Jason Sudeikis Is Back As Hilarious Soccer Coach Ted Lasso: Premier League Starts August 16 On NBC, Funny Soccer Ad Shows Ex Tottenham Coach Become Sports Commentator With Tim Howard [VIDEO]

"The Hangover" star Jason Sudeikis has reprised his role as fictional American football coach Ted Lasso in yet another NBC comedic clip!

The film, which debuted this weekend, was made in preparation for the launch of NBC Sports Group's Premier League coverage for the second year in a row. Last year, "Saturday Night Live" alumnus Jason Sudeikis was enlisted in a similar video to help advertise the news that NBC would become the first major American network to televise the English Premier games live to the USA.

The nearly 6-minute video has Sudeikis return not as the disastrous manager of Tottenham Hotspur, but as an analyst with NBC and a coach of a young girls' soccer team.

Ted Lasso, the hilarious fictional character played by 38-year old funnyman, struggles to understand British culture, pick up on the actual rules of football, and learn to correctly interact with his English peers.

There's even a brief, albeit witty, cameo from American hero and USA goalkeeper, Tim Howard. Lasso struggles to recognize the legendary soccer goalie, and picks his brain about the meaning of "offside."

According to Soccerly, "Beginning today, the film will be shown on more than 19,000 movie screens in National CineMedia's FirstLook pre-show program in AMC, Cinemark, and Regal Entertainment Group and other top theaters nationwide as well as NBC Sports Facebook page and YouTube. Next week, 30-second TV spots will be rolled out across the networks of NBCUniversal."

Looks like we'll be seeing a lot more of the video in the coming weeks! Luckily, it's a hilarious advertisement that is likely to have you in tears. Check out "The Return of Coach Lasso" below! And as a bonus, we've also included the original Ted Lasso video of 2013 too!
