'Arrow' Season 3 Release Date, Cast, Trailer, And Spoilers : Ra's Al Ghul, Wildcat, Katana, The Atom, And Arsenal All Coming For Season 3 [VIDEO]

'Arrow' Season 3 release date will beOctober 8, here is everything currently known about the upcoming season.

The trailer for Season 3 debuted at Comic-Con and you can watch it at the bottow of the article. The trailer looks deep at the five-year period when Oliver Queen was presumed dead, at the possible romance between Oliver and his tech-help, Felicity, at the drama between Oliver and his hired muscle/friend, Diggle, and at the debut of Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer.

The trailer also feautered the debut of Colton Haynes as Arsenal.

Ever since Haynes debuted as Roy Harper on "Arrow" in Season 1, fans familiar with the show's DC Comics-inspired themes have waited for the day when Roy would suit-up alongside Arrow.

Starting with Season 3′s first episode, fans will see the suit of Arsenal make its debut in the Arrow universe. Whether Haynes will be in the suit as Arsenal in the season premiere remains to be seen, but it is clear that once again, as during Season 2, the Arrow will have help in a mask.

The suit, mask and bow of Arsenal are a strong blood-red, much like the hoodie that Roy wore frequently during the first two seasons that was a nod to fans about what his future held.

For much of Season 2, it appeared that whenever Roy would eventually suit up, he'd be the muscle of team Arrow after Deathstroke injected him with the Mirakuru serum. Roy spent most of "Arrow's" second season trying to control his anger - punching through brick walls and being the super-strong counter to Deathstroke, who was also enhanced by Mirakuru. But Roy will enter Season 3 Mirakuru-free.

And then there's Ra's al Ghul. His presence was hinted at frequently in Season 2. One of his daughters was even revealed to be a former love interest to the Black Canary. Now it has been confirmed at Comic-Con that he will be the No. 1 bad guy of "Arrow's" third season.

In general, "Arrow" is upping the ante in terms of how many pieces are on the board. The series recently added characters who will become Wildcat, Katana, and the Atom. Meanwhile, "Arrow" is bringing Malcolm Merlyn (John Barrowman) back into the game, moving Ra's al Ghul out of the shadows, introducing a new version of Count Vertigo, and developing Roy Harper (Colton Haynes) into Arsenal. Then there's the crossover with thespinoff series, The Flash, that will begin in episode 8.

THR reported Medium star David Cubitt has joined Arrow's upcoming season as Mark Shaw, one of the characters from the DC comics to go by the Manhunter moniker; the guest star will appear in episode 3 as an A.R.G.U.S. agent in Corto Maltese and he will cross paths with John Diggle (David Ramsey).

In the comics, Shaw was a public defender who aligned with a group of crime fighters called the Manhunters, though in the New 52 he appears as a U.S. Marshal and a skilled manhunter.

Executive producer Andrew Kreisberg had some interesting things to say about the upcoming season. He spoke about casting Brandon Routh as Ray Palmer/The Atom, and the chemistry a key character.

"[Brandon] actually did a chemistry test with Emily and we didn't have any doubt [before], but when everyone saw that, the two of them just jumped off the screen together. It's funny because we had a picture of Stephen, Stephen's headshot, and we had Emily's headshot, and there was a blank on the board. Once you put Brandon's up there, you're like, 'Oh yeah, these are two guys.' said Kreisberg.

Again "Arrow" Season 3  release date is October 8th on CW network. Check back often for more information as we get closer to the release date.
