Kansas City kids challenged police officer Kreb to a dance off. What happened next surprised everyone, including the Kansas City Police Department. Officer Kreb showed off some very interesting break dance moves and awkward mash of disco and jazz into a cringeworthy routine. Officer Kreb ended up losing the dance battle, but won the hearts of his neighborhood kids.

“What I was thinking was, I can’t believe I’m doing this,” Officer Kreb admitted to the NBC affiliate KSHB.

We couldn’t tell that the police officer was second guessing himself as he was revving himself to respond to the kids’ rather gymnastically challenging dance routine.

“You are repeating the same thing!” one of the kids in the video accused the Kansas City police officer of being lazy.

Officer Kreb immediately responded with a break dance move that had him spinning like an upturned turtle. However, the friction kept him from spinning fast.

“When I went through the (police) academy and when I first got hired on, I told them how I wanted to interact with the community and start building some rapport with the citizens,” Officer Kreb said, “because I feel like if we build rapport with them, then they’re more likely to call us when they need us”.

Maybe more police officers should be doing dance offs with the citizens!
