Facebook Messenger Application: Users Hate The App! FB Messenger App Reviews Bombed With One Star Ratings!

The new Facebook Messenger application has received various negative comments and poor reviews from its users, criticizing the popular social networking site for forcing them to download a separate app to access their messages.

According to the report by App Annie, an app analytics firm, the Facebook messenger app has received nearly 50,000 reviews with a rating of one star in all the app stores.

"Why create two apps to do the work of one app and website that has remained unchanged for years? Bigger is not always better," said one user in his post on the US Apple store.

In the Financial Times report, it was said that some users accused Facebook of a lack of respect for the user feedback.

While others described it as "the worst thing that I have ever been forced to download."

There were some users who were worried about the privacy implications of the Facebook Messenger app, and perhaps quite disturbing for the safety and privacy of the user.

However, a Facebook spokesperson stated that Facebook wants to make the application faster by removing the component of messaging.

"Our goal is to focus development efforts on making messenger the best mobile messaging experience possible and avoid the confusion of having separate Facebook mobile messaging experiences, a Facebook spokesperson said.

The social networking site wants to increase its Facebook messenger app user on mobile phones from the 200 million users it currently has.
