Jennette McCurdy, iCarly Star, Leaks Naked Commentary Into New Series; Sam & Cat’s Jennette McCurdy Ariana Grande Feud Gets Comic Treatment on `What’s Next for Sarah’

Jennette McCurdy stars as a former child actress in her first project since "Sam & Cat" was cancelled.

Jennette McCurdy, the "iCarly" star who broke out of her child roles when she "leaked" a "naked" selfie to Instagram, wrote and stars in a new web series called "What's Next for Sarah."

The former Sam Pucket told The Hollywood Reporter that her new series is a "light-hearted call-out to some of the more absurd experiences I've faced."

According to the star, there is no Jennette McCurdy/Ariana Grande feud. But McCurdy appears to be throwing some shade on her former Sam & Cat co-star Ariana Grande. McCurdy's latest Web show "What's Next For" features a scene where it looks like Jennette is mocking Grande through the character Gloriana.

We're not sure if Jennette McCurdy used Ariana Grande as the inspiration for the third episode of
"What's Next For Sarah," but Gloriana is portrayed as a self-absorbed, dumb pop star who wears her hair in a ponytail, goes on about beauty appointments and pushes a vegan diet while sporting a leather handbag. Does it sound familiar?

The title character on What's Next For Sarah is coping with the cancellation of a hit tween TV series. McCurdy's Nickelodeon show, Sam & Cat, was recently cancelled after gossip and near scandal.

McCurdy told the Hollywood Reporter that she wanted to bring out the phoniness of the industry, saying "My goal was to exaggerate some of the more classic Hollywood archetypes - the phony reporter, the insincere agent, the duplicitous casting director - and heighten them to a surreal extent that we can all laugh at/ We all have those moments where we feel like the world is entirely crazy, and we're the only sane person."
