Lady Gaga Pays Tribute to Amy Winehouse in a Lookalike Instagram Selfie

Lady Gaga paid tribute to Amy Winehouse in a sexy Instagram selfie and the resemblance is amazing.

Lady Gaga was deeply influenced by Amy Winehouse and her music, but she also took inspiration from the late British soul singer's look.

Lady Gaga posted a black-and-white selfie to Instagram account on Saturday, August 16. The picture shows the "Born This Way" singer wearing a lacy bra, a black wig that is coiffed in Amy Winehouse's signature hairdo and she is wearing heavy black eyeliner around.

Gaga captioned the Instagram selfie, "Off to Australia. Will be dreaming of my Aussie Monsters."

Lady Gaga has always been open about her love of late singer Amy Winehous. She told Rolling Stone magazine that Winehouse "was my only hope when I was up and coming. Nobody knew who I was and I had no fans, no record label and everybody, when they met me, said I wasn't pretty enough or that my voice was too low or strange. They had nowhere to put me. And then I saw her in Rolling Stone and I saw her live. I just remember thinking 'Well, they found somewhere to put Amy…'"

Amy Winehouse was found dead at her home in London on July 23, 2011. She was 27 years old. Reports say Winehouse died of alcohol intoxication.

When Amy died Lady Gaga told the panel of The View on August 1, 2011 that she couldn't speak for 48 hours because she was so devastated by the news. She said, "I think the most unfortunate thing about it all is the way that the media spins things, like we can learn from Amy's death. I don't feel that Amy needed to learn any lessons. I felt that the lesson was for the world to be kinder to the superstar. Everybody was so hard on her, and everything that I knew about her was that she was the most lovely and nice and kind woman."
