Jackie Chan's Son Jaycee On Drug Charges As Police Discover Several Grams Of Marijuana On Jaycee's House

Jackie Chan's son Jaycee was arrested in Beijing over drug charges in one of China's biggest anti-drug crackdown.

Jackie Chan's son Jaycee was detained on Thursday along with his friend, 23-year-old Taiwanese movie star Kai Ko Chen-tung and other suspects.

According to The Sydney Morning Gerald, the police report said that Mr. Chan's home in Beijing Dongcheng district uncovered more than 100 grams of marijuana. Also, both actors tested positive for marijuana and admitted using the drug.

Jackie Chan's son Jaycee is accused of accommodating drug users, an offense that carries a maximum sentence of three years' imprisonment. While Mr. Ko is accused of drug consumption.

News of Jaycee Chan and Kai Ko Chen-tung's detention has caused a media sensation across Taiwan, Hongkong and mainland China for their high profile in the show business industry.

Mr. Ko is achieving popularity for his roles in You Are the Apple of My Eye and the Tiny Times franchise.

Jackie Chan's son Jaycee also known as Fang Zuming, who was brought up in Los Angeles followed his father in the show business industry but has made more negative headlines and reportedly troubled relationship with his father.

In April 2011 Jackie Chan revealed that he had written his son out of his will.

"If he is capable, he can make his own money," he told Singapore's Channel NewsAsia. "If he is not, then he will just be wasting my money."

The drug usage in China is growing among younger people, official news agency Xinhua reported that 75% of new drug users in 2013 were under the age of 35.
