Derrick Rose News: D-Rose Will Build 'Dynamic Duo' With Davis To Lift Team USA To FIBA World Cup Title

If you're looking for the latest Derrick Rose news, the 25-year-old former MVP has shown that he is really coming back from his previous injuries, and is poised to carry Team USA to the FIBA World Title.

However, he can not do it alone and he'll be joined by rising star and Chicago native Anthony Davis.

During Team USA's exhibition match against Team Brazil composed of veteran frontmen like Nene, Varejao and Splitter, Rose and Anthony rose up to the occasion and carried the team to a lopsided victory.

During the game, Davis outmatched the bigs of the opposing team on the offensive end while doing the same defensively, exemplified by his 5 shot blocks.

Meanwhile, Rose looked like he was not injured in the past two years, splitting defenses and finding team mates for open looks at the basket. But no matter how excellent he is on the court right now, he still needs some help.

Unfortunately, there is still room to grow for the USA squad sometimes looked lost especially on the defensive end, allowing the opponents to score at will, especially from the inside.

In an international tournament such as the FIBA World, height is certainly might, and with a depleted front court, the Americans will certainly need Davis to step up. Other bigs such as Faried and Cousins should also be ready to bang bodies down low and clean up the boards.

The guards will also play a major role in bringing the ball up as fast as they can in order to attack the defense faster and easier, with the bigs of other countries still running the floor. A run and gun approach could be the only way Team USA can get the edge over tall teams like Spain with the Gasol brothers and Serge Ibaka manning the paint.
