Debbie Reynolds To Receive Lifetime SAG Award As The Veteran Actress Who Has Been In Show Business For 66 years Set To Be Awarded The Most Coveted Prize In Acting!

The veteran actress star Debbie Reynolds is to be given a lifetime achievement award by the Screen Actors Guild (SAG).

The 82 year old actress Debbie Reynolds who has been in show business for 66 years will receive the lifetime award at the SAG ceremony which is set on 25 January.

The award is given each year to individuals who represents "the highest ideals of the acting profession", it is also the highest honour presented by the actors guild.

Ken Howard, the SAG President called Reynolds as, "a tremendously talented performer with a diverse body of screen and stage work."

"Her generous spirit and unforgettable performances have entertained audiences across the globe, moving us all from laughter to tears and back again," he added.

Debbie Reynolds who will receive a lifetime SAG award appeared in more than 50 movies, making her official screen debut in 1950.

Reynolds was nominated for an Oscar in her lead role in The Unsinkable Molly Brown, while her other illustrious roles included The Tender Trap and as Liberace's mother in Behind The Candelabra in the year 2013.

Furthermore, anticipating retirement, the actress opened a facility in Hollywood where performers can rehearse which has been used by Michael Jackson, Johnny Depp and more.

She also established a collection of Hollywood memorabilia, which contain hundreds of items that was displayed in Las Vegas Hotel before being sold off three years ago.

Aside from Debbie Reynolds who will receive a lifetime SAG award, others already received it such as Rita Moreno, Shirley Temple, Elizabeth Taylor and James Cagney.
