Kate Gosselin’s ‘Kate Plus 8’ Hiatus Ends; Reality TV Show Begins Filming Amid Claims Of ‘How She Fooled The World’

Kate Gosselin's "Kate Plus 8" hiatus officially ended as reports claimed that the reality show will begin filming amid claims by author Robert Hoffman that she managed to fool the world with her acts.

Kate Gosselin's "Kate Plus 8" features snippets of her life as she deals with her eight children, the 13-year-old twins Mady and Cara and sextuplets Hannah, Alexis, Collin, Joel, Aaden and Leah, all 10 years old.

The show was never officially cancelled, according to EntertainmentWise, but it has been on a hiatus for three years now.

According to the HollywoodReporter, Kate Gosselin's "Kate Plus 8" was picked up byTLC after it was revived last June as a one-off special. However, it's not yet clear how many hours of the reality show will be shown on TLC, but "they will be released over multiple specials set for a December premiere."

When the reality show was shown last June, it generated 2.1 million viewers which still signifiy a strong following. That's nothing compared to when the original show "Jon and Kate Plus 8" debuted to a 10 million viewership.

The official press release from the network reveal the show's synopsis: "Kate gets ready to tackle another school year. With Cara and Mady entering 8th grade, and Alexis, Hannah, Aaden, Collin, Leah and Joel entering 4th grade, the kids prepare for new teachers and hobbies, while balancing their time between friends and siblings."

Meanwhile, in his book called "Kate Gosselin: How She Fooled The World," Robert Hoffman accused Kate Gosselin of continuing to cash in on her image while fooling the world in the process. He also wrote about one incident of spanking.

He claimed that when Collin was acting out, "Kate said that she was instantly so SO angry that she grabbed him and spanked him as hard as she could and thought that she may seriously injure him so she sent him to his crib and whipped him into it very hard!"
