"Sharknado 3" cast rumors involve the possible replacement of Ian Ziering and Tara Reid over money issues, as SyFy channel gets a petition to shoot scenes in Washington D.C.

According to NY Daily News, which reported the latest "Sharknado 3" cast rumors, Ian Ziering reportedly wanted more money before signing on to reprise his role in the third installment. Reportedly, he was just paid $400,000by Asylum studios in the made-for-TV movie.

"They'll replace him, they'll replace (co-star) Tara Reid. They're not essential to the story. No one is. "The sharks are graphics, and everyone else is replaceable," an insider for Asylum told the website.

This was confirmed by another source who weighed in on the latest "Sharknado 3" cast rumors: "Ian did the work and is fantastic, but it's not 'Avatar.' The stars of the movie are the sharks, and they're not even real."

Earlier "Sharknado" cast rumors claimed that Daniel Radcliffe is reportedly up for a cameo, as well as a possible "Shark vs. Shaq" format.

Director Anthony C. Ferrante told Sporting News that he would love to have Shaq in the movie.

"I've always liked Shaq. I would love to see him take on a shark and see if he could win. You want someone that's formidable, and Shaq is a foe," he said. "I think, if I was a shark, I'd be afraid of him. I'd think twice about flying into that boy."

In related news, an online petition at Change.org was started by Allison Cunningham to bring filming of "Sharknado" to D.C.

"D.C. is the city on the Hill, the bastion of freedom, and the home of monuments to our nation's great leaders such as George Washington, Abraham Lincoln, Theodore Roosevelt, Bryce Harper, and Ben Ali. D.C. is a city filled with history, majesty, and democracy. Most importantly, D.C. is a city that deserves to be pounded relentlessly by an inexplicable tornado filled with sharks," it said.

The rest of the petition looked satirical but the petition nevertheless generated 94 signatures so far.
