Michael Schumacher News Update: Microchip Implant To Help ‘Schumi’ Recover? Hope Alive For Formula Champion

Michael Schumacher news update offers a bit of good news for the seven-time F1 champion, as hope remains alive for the former Formula One champion.

According to the latest Michael Schumacher news update by London's Mirror newspaper, the race car champ might get a microchip implant on his brain that will aid him into talking and walking once again. This bit of good news came in the wake of multiple reports that Schumi is already talking with family members by blinking, even if he remains without control of his limbs.

The publication quoted a report from Croatia news media, which identified a revolutionary procedure from Darko Chudy and Vedran Deletis, who will supposedly implant the microchip in his brain to help him regain control of his motor skills.

The procedure is very expensive but the Examiner said that Michael Schumacher could very well afford the associated costs because of his estimated wealth that is supposedly around 500 million pounds.

The microchip implantation is just the first step since more procedures will follow including a team of experts in neurology, nutrition and physical therapy to help his muscles and joints that have atropied from his lengthy coma, the Michael Schumacher news update said.

Doctors have reportedly given him the green light to go back home in Gland, Switzerland by month's end, which is just a half an hour's drive away from the hospital.

Michael Schumacher lapsed into a coma after a serious skiing accident suffered in December 29 last year at the station Méribel in the French Alps.

Earlier, Michael Schumacher's wife Corinna has put up his private jet, the eight-passenger grey Flacon 2000EX, for sale for $20 million, which signifies that his traveling days are over.
