It is just a day until we the basketball world unites and watch the FIBA World Cup schedule in Spain. And as early as now, Team USA seemed poised to make a return trip to the Finals.

Team USA is placed on a rather less competitive bracket where the only other top 10 team is Turkey at number 7. Its other competitors which include New Zealand, Dominican Republic, Ukraine and Finland could be seen as less stronger compared to Spain, Argentina and Brazill.

Still, we cannot discount the fact that all of the teams have shed sweat and blood to prepare for this year's FIBA World Cup.

Team USA may be the favorites for this year, but let's all remember that this squad will no longer have the same caliber of superstars which filled the roster during the 2010 FIBA World Cup.

The only MVP in the roster is Derrick Rose, and he hasn't played for almost two full NBA seasons. Anthony Davis is a rising star and should be one of the anchors for Team USA, together with James Harden who were both part of the 2010 champion team.

It would be interesting to see how coach Mike Krzyzewski will shuffle his players who are mostly first-timers in international brand of basketball.
