Novak Djokovic has now become the heart of the party in tennis tournaments. Where else to spend all that “positive energy” he gets from his wife Jelena Ristic but on tennis courts? After his most recent win at the US Open 2014, the Wimbledon champion broke out into a dance to Iggy Azalea’s ‘Fancy’. The father-to-be definitely knows how to start a party in the US Open 2014!

If you are wondering why Novak Djokovic is so happy, even after a lackluster string of performances at the Rogers Cup and Cincinnati, you probably don’t know that his wife Jelena Ristic is now four months pregnant with Wimbledon champion’s baby! And you probably missed out on his post-Wimbledon wedding in Montenegro when he finally married his high school sweetheart. Who cares about tennis when you are married to the mother of your soon-to-be born baby? And when you can dance to ‘Fancy’ to your heart’s content? Novak Djokovic told this sentiment to the New York Times in a pre US Open interview. “I’m going to enjoy it and try to take as much energy as I can — positive energy,” he said of the impending fatherhood, saying that he would try to “transfer that to the tennis court.” “But without a doubt, life changes. You know, priorities change. My priorities, my family, my wife, my future kid. Tennis is definitely not No. 1 anymore.” Did Novak Djokovic just hand in a resignation slip? Or maybe he is trying to make himself feel better for all the so-so performances on the court post Wimbledon. Either way, the world number one’s pores are just oozing with anticipation for his little one. Jelena Ristic sported a lovely baby bump in her wedding pictures. Novak Djokovic definitely has that holistic view on life and isn’t tennis obsessed like other men on WTA tour. Not only does he run his own nonprofit Novak Djokovic Foundation (with Jelen as the director) that funds pre-school education in Serbia, but he is also coming out with a short movie, ‘Smash the Silence’ with Adidas Tennis.
