'Fashion Police' Cast Sounds Off On Joan Rivers' Death: No Word Yet On Show's Future

The passing of Joan Rivers Thursday morning left many in Hollywood reeling, perhaps none more so than her Fashion Police cast-mates. The three co-hosts sounded off through various platforms today on the loss of the comedy legend. Meanwhile, the future of the popular E! Network show remains uncertain.

Kelly Osbourne posted a tribute to the stand up queen on Facebook. In addition to posting a photo of herself sitting on Rivers’ lap, she wrote, “I’m completely heartbroken by the loss of my beloved Joan. Not only was she my boss, was and always will be my teacher, therapist, closest friend, inspiration and the only grandmother I ever knew. She was family and I will never forget her.” She went on to say, “Laughter will be difficult for a while but when I’m sad, lonely or upset all I will have to do is think of Joan and a smile will cross my face. Laughter is what she gave us and laughter is what she would want us to do in remembrance of her.”

Guiliana Rancic released a statement through E! News, saying, “It is almost impossible to describe how much I loved Joan and how much she meant to me. She was not only the funniest woman I have ever met but was incredibly loving, honest, and lived her life with no regrets. Working with her for the last thirteen years has been one of the true joys of my life. She could put a smile on your face, instantly, no matter how hard your day was.”

George Kotsiopolous voiced his grief over Twitter, simply writing, “Rest in peace @Joan_Rivers. Thank you for changing my life. I will miss you so much.”

Fashion Police had been scheduled to air special episodes covering New York Fashion Week over the next two weeks, but after Rivers was hospitalized last Thursday, E! announced, that the show would be going on hiatus. At this point, it is unclear whether the show will ever resume without the icon. Variety reports that E! released a statement saying, “Right now we are mourning our beloved Joan. We will respond at a later date with programming updates.”
