Serena Williams and Caroline Wozniacki are a match made in heaven. No pun intended. Ever since Rory McIlroy pulled out of the wedding earlier this summer, the American and the Danish tennis players have become Best Friends Forever. Their Miami holiday included watching the Miami Heat game. Although the US Open 2014 predictions heavily favor Serena Williams, the girls must be happy that their best friend made it into the semifinals.

When the New York Times interviewed Serena Williams for an article about Caroline Wozniacki, she said some of the nicest things about the 24-year-old Danish player. Serena commented that her best friend is “honorable and kind and has a really good heart” and didn’t hide her shock when Rory McIlroy called off the wedding.

“I was like, ‘No waaaay,’ ” said the current world number 1. “I was planning the bachelorette party.”

“I was like: ‘How can you be so nice?’ ” She continued. “[Caroline] said: ‘I could never hate him. He’s been a big part of my life and even if I wanted to, I couldn’t hate him.’ I was really influenced by that.”

Sounds like Caroline won Serena’s heart. Hoes before bros for sure.

When they both flunked out of the French Open this past June, Serena planned a little holiday for Caroline Wozniacki to take her mind off of the canceled wedding and Rory McIlroy. They hung out on the Miami beach and went to see Miami Heat game. They also crashed a wedding and made the bride and groom super happy.

Both players are doing phenomenally this US Open, both reaching the semifinals. They hope to make it to the final match. The predictions say that Serena Williams will beat Ekaterina Makarova. Caroline Wozniacki is winning her current game against Peng Shuai.

If the girls reach the US Open 2014 finals, it’ll be a testament to their friendship. They probably won’t go easy on each other.
