It would be very difficult for Sony to ditch the on-screen chemistry between Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone so they decided not to do it? "The Amazing Spider Man 3" will allegedly still feature the former "Easy A" bombshell! But she will have a rival whose identity is yet unknown.

The big question of Emma Stone returning is actually referenced in this accidentally (?) revealing interview with Screen Rant:

The chance now is high for her return. It is just that it is not clear yet how she will back. Perhaps, she will just appear in the film in flashbacks or dreams. But there's a rumor that Gwen Stacy will be back from the grave healthy but no memories of her past since her death as part of the plot in the "The Amazing Spider-man 3". This might happen if Marc Webb will include the Jackal as part of the super villains that Spider-man will have to face apart from Goblin, Doc Ock, and Rhino, who we are expecting to give Spider-man a hard time.

For those who are not aware of "The Clone Saga" in the comic series, the Jackal is Miles Warren who is Gwen and Peter's biology professor. He is the one who creates clones of the two former partners. If this will be the plot of the film, perhaps Peter Parker will be torn between two lovers.

If Emma Stone returns no matter what shape or form, she will have a rival. Mary Jane Watson will make her appearance in the next installment and for the longest time, Shailene Woodley was the candidate. Another name thrown into the mix is Deborah Ann Woll from "True Blood." She already naturally has the iconic red hair that would be needed for the role. The only issue with Woll would be, as reported by Movie Pilot, she has already committed to another Marvel role, "Daredevil." Filming for "Daredevil" and "Amazing Spider-Man 3" could cause a lot of conflict on her already hectic schedule.

The last name is that of Margot Robbie's, one of the stars in "Wolf of Wall Street." She is only 24 years old and is presently looking for a huge franchise to latch on to. However, many fans are doubtful that she can pull off MJ's role with Peter Parker's dorky demeanor.
