Andy Murray and his brother plan to hide behind the couch to avoid seeing their mother Judy shimmy her stuff on ‘Strictly Come Dancing. Could she be the reason that Andy Murray dropped out of the top 10 in WTA rankings? Or is it because Andy Murray stubbornly refuses to change his current coach Amelie Mauresmo? Either way, if Andy Murray doesn’t get his game together, he won’t be able to play at the end-of-season World Tour Finals in London in November.

Their mother Judy once did say that her son Andy warned her from joining ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ saying that “you’ll be terrible at it”.

Despite Andy Murray’s words of caution, his mother Judy went ahead and joined the cast of ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ season 12.

Maybe he got distracted by his mother’s dance career to keep his eyes on the prize. He failed to perform well at this year’s US Open and with Marin Cilic winning the championship this year, dropped out of the top 10 WTA ranking.

Now the Scotsman stands at world number 11. Not the most terrible thing to happen to the world-class tennis player, but this does meant that he won’t be able to participate at the World Tour Finals in London.

According to BBC, the 27-year-old tennis player has “a significant number of points to make up on Tomas Berdych, who occupies the final qualifying position”.

But Andy Murray won’t be hastily joining more tournaments just to scrape up points. He and his coach Amelie Mauresmo decided to keep on schedule and not increase in tournaments.

Andy Murray lost to Novak Djokovic in the quarterfinals of US Open 2014.

His choice of sticking it with his current coach Amelie Mauresmo has been under criticism ever since he failed to perform well at Wimbledon 2014. With his WTA ranking falling below 10, Andy Murray may doubt his decision of not changing up his team.

Or maybe he should stop worry about his mother Judy performing for ‘Strictly Come Dancing’ and mind his own business!
