Arsenal will face off against rival Manchester City on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Arsenal, coming out of a 1-1 tie with Leicester City, is expected to be the underdog of the match.

Arsenal manager Arsène Wenger said Danny Welbeck would not have joined the team if he were in London on deadline day, The Independent reports.

"When it was a permanent transfer, or loan with an option to buy, I was happy to take a permanent transfer," he said, according to the site.

"At the start of the day the player was only available on loan, but after he became available to buy, I agreed."

Manchester City, coming out of a 1-0 loss to Stoke City, is expected to be the favorite of the match.

Manchester City manager Manuel Pellegrini said the Financial Fair Play (FPP) is behind Alvaro Negredo's exit, BBC Sports reports.

"The decision for Alvaro Negredo to go was for two very important reasons," Pellegrini said, according to the site.

"The first was that we have the restriction for the number of the players we can use in the Champions League."
