Oscar Pistorius’ Murder Case Trial Verdict Leaves Girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp’s Parents Seeking For Truth; ‘Blade Runner’ Out On Bail

New developments in the Oscar Pistorius murder case trial offered little consolation to his girlfriend Reeva Steenkamp's parents who are still trying to seek justice for their murdered daughter, as the "Blade Runner" is still out on bail.

June Steenkamp gave a TV interview following Judge Thokozile Masipa's ruling in the Oscar Pistorius murder case trial which found the Paralympian not guilty of murder.

"We were shocked. Shocked. Disappointed," she said per MailOnline. "You know your heart drops because you just want the truth. It's going in the wrong direction, that's how you feel."

She said they couldn't even look at Oscar Pistorius who was "jubilant" following the judge's order.

Earlier she told NBC Today that the family couldn't fathom how the judge could have believed in the story that the paralympian told during the whole Oscar Pistorius murder case trial.

"I just don't feel that this is the right sentence. They believe his story - and I don't believe that story. There were so many mistakes made. It didn't add up," she said, per MailOnline."It was disbelief on our minds, it was disbelief on everyone in the world who has been following the case."

Barry Steenkamp, however, said that he feels sorry for Oscar Pistorius.

"I understand that he is sorry he's done it and this and that. As I said, there is still something missing. I think there was more to the whole story, you know, coming up to the actual shooting, the killing," he said.

Meanwhile, Oscar Pistorius' bail has been extended.

"I have used my discretion in favour of the accused. I grant the application to extend the bail of the accused," the judge said, per News 24

The prosecution has argued that at the sidelines of the Oscar Pistorius murder case trial that the judge should not grant bail because the paralympian is a flight risk since he already sold all his homes. Aside from that he has been convicted for a serious offense of homicide, and he poses harm to himself. The judge, however, was not convinced.
