Prince Harry Gets ‘Sin-Banned’ From Wheelchair Rugby At Invictus Games While Pippa Middleton Winces On The Sidelines

Prince Harry has got a competitive streak. The British Royal was reportedly 'sin-banned' from wheelchair rugby on Friday during a exhibition at the Invictus Games.

Meanwhile, the Duchess of Cambridge's younger sister, Pippa Middleton, appeared visible shocked as she watched from the crowd.

When 29-year-old Prince Harry took the court for a wheelchair rugby match on Friday, he also took himself very seriously. Prince William's younger brother was reportedly "sin-banned," or forced to sit on the bench, several times throughout the match.

According to E! News, Olympic heptathlete Denise Lewis, who played against Harry, explained that the Prince was penalized due to the high-intensity on the court.

"It was very competitive, no one wanted to lose. Prince Harry ended up in the sin bin for a foul on me, that was the sort of competition there was," said Lewis. "He just rammed me, he just tried to take me out. I don't know the rules, but I know it was a foul."

The captain of Harry's team, Jason Robinson, defended Harry, saying, "Somebody had to be sin binned. It was either him or Mike Tindall! Whatever Harry does, he goes at it 100 percent."

The Royals were out in full force for the match. Harry played alongside cousin Zara Tindall. Together with their teammates, Harry and Zara beat out their opponents, which included Zara's husband Mike and British Olympian Dame Kelly Holmes.

Pippa Middleton and her brother James watched the brutal sport from the stands. According to the Daily Mail, Pippa was photographed clasping her hands over her mouth in disbelief over the ruthlessness of the action down below.

But Pippa did manage to have some fun. She and James reportedly joined in as the crowd did the wave.

The inaugural Invictus Games is being held at London's 2012 Olympic venues through Sunday. It is an international sporting event that will include more than 400 wounded, injured, and sick Servicemen and women, including servicemen and veterans from 13 nations.
