iOS 8 Jailbreak: Users Warned Of Fake Offers Claiming An Easy Way To Free Apple’s Newest Mobile OS

iOS 8 jailbreak may not be available anytime soon and users are warned to take caution on any offer claiming an easy way to free or customize the mobile OS to your choosing. On the website of Evad3rs, known for their iOS 7 Jailbreak amongst others, users are only asked about what they think the best price for an iOS 8 jailbreak would be.

The Christian Post reports on an iOS 8 unthethered Jailbreak that was posted on Reddit, writing that it could be fake.

“Redditor w0rldello posted an image link to Reddit that showed what appears to be a screenshot of the iOS 8 interface and the Pangu app icon. iOS 8 isn't out yet but the Reddit user claims to have reverse engineered the Pangu jailbreak for the iOS 7.1.x,” writes the Christian Post.

The authenticity of the Jailbreak has been questioned by Redditor jailbreakers. Some said that the Jailbreak could be fake since the original poster has only included a screenshot of the installation of the Pangu jailbreak.

According to Gotta Be Mobile, there is little new information about the iPhone 6 Jailbreak release that can be shared. One thing could be sure is that the Jailbreak community is preparing for the availability of iOS 8 this Wednesday.

The mobile industry focus site noted that an iOS 8 Jailbreak may arrive together with an iPhone 6 Jailbreak.

Previous issues with Jailbreak involve companies offering such access for a fee. Many note that these are fake and users must be aware of the technical risk involved when doing such software customizations on their handsets.

About.com defines jailbreaking as the “process used to modify the operating system running on iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad to allow the user greater control of the device, including the ability to remove Apple-imposed restrictions and install apps obtained and other content through means other than the official App store.”
