Anthony Kim, Ex Golf Phenom, Planning Return Or Will Retire? PGA Tour Golfer May Cash In $10 Mil In Injury Insurance, Should Rory McIlroy Worry?

Anthony Kim, the ex golf phenom who has disappeared into obscurity, has hit the headlines again, with return or retired news. The reports say that the PGA tour golfer may retire forever and cash in $10 million in injury insurance. Should Rory McIlroy worry about the return or Anthony Kim?

Anthony Kim disappeared from the PGA tour due to threatening injuries. He hasn’t been seen in over two years. The recent news says that he may retire soon, as his insurance will pay out “$10 million tax-free” according to Sports Illustrated.

Looks like Anthony Kim confided in Alan Shipnuck. "He's trying to weigh the risk of coming back. The way he's phrased it to me is, 'If I take one swing on Tour, the policy is voided.'"

Money or comeback? With $10 million injury insurance, it’s a tricky decision to make.

But according to the reports, Anthony Kim isn’t doing too well. He looks like a “hobo” and has become a “recluse”, refusing to talk to reporters and not even going to the strip clubs that he used to frequent, and even has been “staying with a girlfriend while he assesses his next move”.

Looks like Rory McIlroy has nothing to worry about.

“He tools around town in a Rolls-Royce Ghost. It had been flossed out with custom rims, but recently he reinstalled the stock wheels. He wants to be more incognito,” Alan Shipnuck said.

It’s a shame to see a once golf phenom disappear like this, but returning to PGA tour after years of retirement, during which he may not have even picked up a single golf club, may be a scary thing to do.
