According to Bleacher Report, fans have been expecting Duncan to appear in The Punisher comic books by Marvel after he sported a knee brace featuring a Punisher logo. It was revealed that the Big Fundamental is interested in comic books and video games, particularly involving the comic book character. In 2013, Duncan went to a Halloween Party dressed as the Punisher.
In the comic books, the character's real name is Frank Castle, who is a former soldier who aims to inflict punishment to criminals. He does not have superpowers but carries a variety of firepower to deliver justice. He is an anti-hero who is very direct and prefers to accomplish the job instead of basking in glory, very much like Tim Duncan.
A lot of fans gave their approval and shared their excitement about the Punisher comic book news. Fans also thought that Dwight Howard of the Houston Rockets would be a fine feature in a comic book, considering how the center will star in Superman and tags himself as the Superman of the NBA.
