It's common to hear stories about people wanting to lose weight to impress the (wo)man of their dreams. We say we "try"...but give up almost immediately. After all, isn't true love about accepting one another, flaws and all?

Well, that may be true, but it doesn't help to look your best. And this guy just nailed it!

Jake Goulding just shredded a whopping seven stone (roughly 100lbs) after meeting the love of his life online. He simply refused to let Carlisa see his body, making sure that the camera stays on his face.

In a report by Daily Mail, Jake says:

'We used to video chat a lot but I was always too scared to show her my body in case it put her off. I told her I was big but I never wanted to show her."

A newly slimmed-down Jake met Carlisa in person for the first time after his weight loss, and experienced his first kiss.

"When we finally met it was just amazing - we were both each other's first relationship and it was incredible to share our first kiss together. We went to Paris whilst she was here and went to Disney Land and the Eiffel Tower - it was the best week of my life."

Despite Carlisa insisting she would love Jake, whatever his size, he insisted to lose all the weight since he wanted to be the "best for her".

"Carlisa always says she wouldn't care if I was 8st or 50st but I wanted to be my best for her - she deserves the best of everything. She is definitely the woman for me and I know I will marry her someday. She's changed my life."

Now, the question, how in the world did Jake manag to lose all that weight?

He says:

"'It was high in protein and low in carbs and at the same time I was training in the gym for between one and two hours a day. I've lost weight but now started bulking as well and have 10kg of muscle."

Jake now goes to the gym twice a day and has his own fitness Instagram page, FatToMuscle.

"I want to help others and show them that no matter how big you are you can really change all that. It takes a lot of dedication but if I can do it anyone can, you just have to keep going. Look at me, I'm now happier than ever and have the girl of my dreams."
