Newcastle United will face off against rival Hull City on Saturday, placing two of the English Premier League's closely followed teams against each other.

Newcastle United, coming out of a 4-0 loss to Southampton, is expected to be the underdog of the match.

Newcastle United manager Alan Pardew said his team's fans have created a "mass hysteria," BBC Sports reports.

"This situation at the moment is almost like mass hysteria," Pardew said, according to the site.

"I'm hoping we can turn that around but the environment for the players on Saturday will probably be as tough as it's ever been."

Hull City, coming out of a 2-2 tie with West Ham United, is expected to be the favorite of the match.

Hull City manager Steve Bruce said he feels sorry for Alan Pardew, the Daily Star reports.

"We managers, especially in the Premier League, we always know that round the corner it can happen," Bruce said, according to the site.

"You genuinely feel for the manager in charge and at this moment. He is under the hammer, after only four games."
